Jennifer Collier

[teabagdress.jpg]

Jennifer Collier works with a range of organic and paper materials to create her non-functional textile pieces. These include; cameras, typewriters and clothes/shoes. She uses methods of weaving, waxing, draping, embedding and stitching, to produce objects that are redefined and given a new sense of worth. From this, she encourages the viewer to consider the nature of value and recycling.
Her work is were I got the idea to use tea bags and found objects and materials in my own work.
